About 7ICRL

In December 1996, Prague was the first city of the post-communist Europe to host ICRL. Ten years later, Prague will be the first city to host the conference for a second time. In accord with the subtitle, the special theme of 7ICRL will be Romani anthropological linguistics or linguistic anthropology: investigations of cultural aspects of the Romani language as well as of linguistic aspects of the Romani culture(s).

7ICRL is organised by the Department of Linguistics and Finno-Ugric Studies and the Seminar of Romani Studies of the Faculty of Philosophy and Arts of the Charles University.

7ICRL is dedicated to the memory of Milena Hübschmannová (10 June 1933  8 September 2005), the founder of Romani Studies in the Czech Republic.
